Job summary

R.E Michel Company in Lakewood, NJ is seeking a capable Warehouse/Counter Service associate. You will handle calls and customer service, process invoices, load items, and assist with deliveries in a fast-paced branch environment.

The role requires attention to detail, good communication, and safe operation of material handling equipment. Monday–Friday with some Saturdays, non-exempt, full-time.

Qualifications

• Basic knowledge of HVACR parts is preferred but not required.
• Strong verbal communication with customers and the public.
• Proficiency with computers and invoice documents.

Responsibilities

• Provide fast, friendly service in person or by phone according to standards.
• Greet customers and maintain a positive attitude at the branch.
• Pull orders from warehouse and load trucks or customer vehicles safely.
• Prepare invoices, CODs, vendor orders, and shipping/receiving paperwork.
• Ensure all outgoing product is billed and payments are collected.
• Process returns and warranties the same day received.
• Unload deliveries, stock areas, and operate MHE safely.
• Report safety issues and keep the warehouse tidy and orderly.
• Verify incoming orders and report discrepancies to supervisor.
• Handle UPS shipments and maintain counter notebook.
