Job summary

R.E. Michel Company in New Freedom, PA seeks a part-time Warehouse/Counter Service associate to handle customer service, phone inquiries, invoicing, and loading items for delivery or pickup.

You will ensure safe operation of material handling equipment and accurate order fulfillment while maintaining branch appearance. The role requires verifying orders, collecting payments, processing returns, and assisting with paperwork.

Qualifications

• Basic understanding of HVACR parts preferred.
• Excellent verbal communication with the public.
• Strong attitude and interpersonal skills for customer service.
• Proficient computer skills including Prophet 21.
• Ability to read invoices, catalogs, stock numbers and descriptions.

Responsibilities

• Provide fast and friendly customer service in person or by phone.
• Greet customers as they enter the branch and maintain a positive attitude.
• Ensure commitments made to customers are met or exceeded.
• Pull orders from warehouse and load into delivery trucks or customer vehicles.
• Prepare accurate paperwork: invoices, CODs, purchase orders, shipping/receiving papers.
• Process payments and follow money handling procedures.
• Handle returns and warranty processing the same day.
• Unload deliveries and stock product in designated areas.
• Operate MHE safely and keep forklift well-maintained.
• Report safety issues, damage, or accidents to supervisor.
• Maintain cleanliness and appearance of warehouse and facility.
• Verify inbound orders against packing lists; report discrepancies.
• Process UPS shipments and manage counter notebook.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
