Job summary

Ryder System, Inc. seeks an experienced Warehouse Automation Engineering professional to identify, pilot, deploy and optimize warehouse automation technologies across multiple sites.

You will collaborate with operations, IT, design, and vendors to demonstrate value, lead automation selections, and manage projects from concept through go-live. The role emphasizes ROI analysis, cross-functional teamwork, and strong leadership to drive efficiency, reduce costs, and win new business through

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or related field
• Master's Degree in Industrial Engineering or related field (Preferred)
• 3+ years in warehouse automation, material handling technologies, industrial engineering or warehouse systems integration (Preferred)
• 2+ years in Demonstrated experience in warehouse automation (Preferred)
• 2+ years in Experience in warehouse automation including sortation conveyors, goods-to-person, autonomous vehicles/robots, ASRS (Required)
• Industrial or Mechanical Engineering or equivalent warehouse operational knowledge (Required)
• Experience in financial ROI analysis (Preferred)

Responsibilities

• Lead RFP projects and support automation selection by identifying potential technologies
• Build ROI/justification for optimal solution design
• Provide input to ensure design meets performance targets and SLAs
• Coordinate vendor design reviews and validation activities
• Manage smaller projects and track milestones for implementation
• Support on-site SAT and Punch List activities
• Profile data to support system optimization and analytics
