Job summary

Ryder System, Inc. is seeking an Manufacturing Automation Engineer in Spring Hill, TN to identify, pilot and deploy warehouse automation technologies.

You will collaborate with operations, IT and solution design teams to demonstrate value, validate designs and drive deployments that improve uptime and efficiency. The role requires hands-on project coordination, data analysis and a strong background in industrial engineering, with travel up to 30-40% as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• Master's degree preferred.
• 3+ years in warehouse automation, material handling or warehouse systems integration.
• Experience with equipment like sortation, conveyors, autonomous vehicles, AS/RS is a plus.
• Knowledge of WMS, analytics and Lean methods.

Responsibilities

• Lead automation identification, piloting and deployment.
• Support ROI and justification for automation solutions.
• Coordinate implementation and SAT testing of automation projects.
• Track milestones, budgets and vendor collaboration.
• Provide data analytics to optimize system performance.
