Job summary

Ryder System, Inc. is seeking a Warehouse Automation Engineering professional to identify, pilot, deploy, and optimize automation technologies across multiple facilities.

You will collaborate with operations, IT, solution design, and customers to demonstrate value and feasibility of new automation capabilities. The role demands broad knowledge of automation technologies and strong project management skills, with significant travel to support deployments and SAT testing.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• Master's Degree in Industrial Engineering or related field preferred.
• 3+ years in warehouse automation, material handling technologies, or related fields.
• 2+ years in warehouse automation experience preferred.
• Experience with various automation technologies (sortation, goods-to-person, autonomous vehicles/robots, ASRS) preferred.
• Financial analysis and ROI understanding for projects.

Responsibilities

• Lead automation selection and validation for new business sales projects with ROI justification.
• Support SOW validation and vendor FSD checks to ensure project alignment.
• Contribute to design validation focusing on cost effectiveness and SLA targets.
• Coordinate procurement and vendor reviews for automation solutions.
• Manage smaller projects and track milestones and punch lists.
