Job summary
Ryder is seeking a Warehouse Automation Engineering professional to identify, pilot, and deploy innovative warehouse automation technologies across multiple sites. You will collaborate with operations, IT, and business leaders to demonstrate value and feasibility, driving efficiency and competitive differentiation through automation.
The role requires strong collaboration, planning, and problem-solving skills, with exposure to data analytics and vendor management.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or related field.
- Master's Degree preferred in Industrial/Mechanical Engineering.
- 3+ years in warehouse automation or related fields.
- Experience with warehouse automation technologies and materials handling.
Responsibilities
- Lead and support automation project work including RFP evaluation and ROI analysis.
- Validate vendor FSD/SOW gaps using standard checklists.
- Contribute to design decisions considering implementation and performance.
- Support procurement activities and vendor evaluations.
- PM of small projects and tracking milestones.
- Coordinate SAT testing plans and post-go-live support.
- Analyze data to optimize system performance.
- Help track project budgets and spend.
