The Team Lead, Warehouse Associate will perform an array of functions including but not limited to: Receiving and processing incoming products, picking, and filling customer orders, managing, and organizing product stock, and loading/offloading of trucks, cycle counting, managing Kanban.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:
- Warehouse Associate Team Lead and/or Warehouse Associate Supervisor provide training to new hires in the department.
- Warehouse Associate Team Lead performs as back-up for Warehouse Associate Supervisor.
- Allocate jobs according to the shipping and production schedule to ensure timely delivery.
- Pull parts for production and customer orders.
- Manage daily cycle counts.
- Manage kitting of parts for assembly and shipment.
- Load and package items onto pallets, label, strap, and wrap for shipping.
- Package orders to prevent shipping damage.
- Audit orders before leaving the Parts department to ensure all items are accounted for.
- Enter order, audit sheets, sales order picklists, job travelers and parts pictures into ERP system or OneDrive.
- Verify all documentation concerning orders are complete and scan into the shipping folder.
- Update Miamisburg Production Board daily with shortage status, kitting status and part completion status.
- Notify Warehouse Supervisor or Warehouse and Compliance Analyst of any updates and/or issues pertaining to their order/shipment.
- Track out-of-stock items and replenish them back to stock or to specific order.
- Notify Supervisor and Analyst and Purchasing of any quality issues.
- Notify Supervisor and Analyst of any Bill of Material (BOM) discrepancies.
- Notify Analyst of cycle count discrepancies.
- Notify Purchasing when shipping materials are needed such as boxes, pallets, shrink wrap, etc.
- Maintain accurate inventory levels on the shelf and in ERP system.
- Ensure the warehouse is accessible and safe for employees and customers.
- Load and unload trucks with materials and supplies.
EXPERIENCE- Minimum one year of experience in a warehouse associate/shipping position, preferably in a manufacturing facility.
- Experience driving a forklift truck is required.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong organizational skills.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Ability to follow-through on assignments.
- Ability to work independently and unsupervised while prioritizing tasks.
- Self-motivated, with the ability to lead projects to completion with minimal oversight.
EDUCATION/CERTIFICATIONS• High School diploma or general education degree (GED); and one year related experience and/or training experience.
