Job summary

Vallen in Monroe, OH is hiring a Warehouse Associate to receive, stock, and dispatch goods in our distribution center. You will follow established procedures and operate equipment to move items safely. The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent plus 1 year of warehouse experience; forklift/cherry picker experience is preferred.

Basic computer skills and strong attention to detail are essential. You will work in a fast-paced environment and help ensure accurate inventory and timely

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent plus 1 year of relevant experience and/or training.
• Experience loading, unloading, picking, packing, or moving goods in a warehouse environment; forklift/cherry picker experience preferred.
• Basic computer knowledge and proficiency and/or a demonstrated technical aptitude to learn; MS-Office, Vista, Control, SX.e, Prophet 21 are common tools.
• Demonstration of basic mathematical skills and ability to work in a team with safety-minded approach.

Responsibilities

• Completes shipments by processing and loading orders; reads schedules and orders to determine items to be moved or distributed.
• Unloads, receives, and stores incoming goods; checks for damage and discrepancies and may secure items to prevent damage in transit.
• Sorts, labels, moves, and stores goods; optimizes storage space and follows work orders or verbal instructions.
• Prepares, picks, packs, and dispatches outgoing goods; uses pick sheets and verifies product and quantity accuracy.
• Loads trucks for delivery; checks shipping work orders and routes; communicates any discrepancies.
• Operates warehouse equipment (forklifts, pallet jacks, cherry pickers) as needed.
• Maintains stock records and responds to inquiries; documents discrepancies.
• Safety regulations are followed; other duties as assigned.
