Key Personnel in Holland, MI is seeking a Warehouse Assistant for a temp-to-hire role. The position requires lifting up to 100 lbs, reading work orders, and basic computer use. You will move materials within warehouses, load and unload items, and assist with packaging and labeling as needed.

Shift is Mon-Thu 6:00am-4:30pm with some Fridays. This role demands reliability, physical stamina, and the ability to follow instructions in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED, or related experience and/or training.
• Must be able to lift up to 100 lbs.
• Must read a tape measure and read work orders.
• Heavy lifting is required.
• Basic computer knowledge is required.

Responsibilities

• Reads work orders or follows oral instructions to identify materials to move.
• Loads and unloads materials onto/from pallets, trays, racks, or shelves by hand.
• Moves materials to designated areas and secures with padding or straps as needed.
• Counts and records the number of units moved or handled.
• Attaches labels to materials or marks information on product.
• Operates hand truck to assist in loading or moving materials and products.
• Cleans and assembles new and used product.

Loads, unloads, and moves materials within or near plant, yard, or work site by performing the following duties.

• Mechanically inclined
  • Basic tools - cordless drills, hand tools, tape measure.
• Mon - Thurs, 6:00am - 4:30pm. Some Fridays.
• Must be able to read a tape measure. Dependable transportation.
• Must be able to read and understand work orders. Letters, words, numbers.
• Manually unloading product - unloading, stripping, sorting and cleaning product. All manual labor, so he needs to be strong. Puts product away in correct locations.
• Must be able to lift up to 100 lbs.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

• Reads work order or follows oral instructions to ascertain materials or containers to be moved.
• Loads and unloads materials onto or from pallets, trays, racks, and shelves by hand.
• Loads materials into vehicles and installs strapping, bracing, or padding to prevent shifting or damage in transit.
• Conveys materials from storage or work sites to designated area.
• Count and records number of units of materials moved or handled.
• Attaches identifying tags or labels to materials or marks information on product.
• Operates hand truck to assist in loading or moving materials and products.
• Cleans and assembles new and used product.
• Must have basic computer knowledge.
• Heavy lifting is required.

Cleans and maintains warehouse facilities. Job Requirements

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.LICENSES, CERTIFICATIONS Must obtain a Class B CDL within three months.LANGUAGE SKILLS Ability to read a limited number of two- and three-syllable words and to recognize similarities and differences between words and between series of numbers. Ability to print and speak simple sentences.MATHEMATICAL SKILLS Ability to add and subtract two digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's. Ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume, and distance.REASONING ABILITY Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out simple one- or two-step instructions.
