Job summary

M.R. Williams, Inc. is seeking an Area Operations Manager to oversee a designated warehouse area, develop talent, improve time management, and foster a safety-first culture. This role may step in as Operations Manager in their absence.

Responsibilities include coordinating layout, enforcing policies, managing stock, and producing operational reports while maintaining health, safety, and security standards. Local travel may be required.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of management experience required.
• Ability to walk/stand 8+ hours daily.
• Familiarity with warehouse procedures and process improvements.
• Strong communication and leadership skills.

Responsibilities

• Strategically manage the assigned warehouse area in line with policies.
• Oversee area operations and space utilization.
• Set up layout and optimize space efficiency.
• Enforce policies and procedures for safety and quality.
• Maintain health, hygiene, and security standards.
• Manage stock and reconcile data storage systems.
• Plan rotations, assign tasks, and assess results.
• Recruit, coach, and motivate staff.
• Produce regular reports (IN/OUT, dead stock, etc.).
• Receive feedback and monitor service quality.
• Other duties as assigned.
