Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED and 2+ years management experience.
  • Walk/stand for 8+ hours daily.
  • Verse in warehouse management procedures and best practices.
  • Proven ability to implement process improvement initiatives.
  • Hands on experience with warehouse management software and databases.
  • Leadership skills and ability manage staff.
  • Strong decision making and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Strategically manage area in compliance with company’s policies and vision.
  • Oversee assigned area operations.
  • Setup layout and ensure efficient space utilization.
  • Initiate, coordinate and enforce optimal operational policies and procedures.
  • Maintain standards of health and safety, hygiene and security.
  • Manage stock control and reconcile with data storage system.
  • Plan work rotations, assign tasks appropriately and appraise results.
  • Recruit, select, orient, coach and motivate employees.
  • Produce reports and statistics regularly (IN/OUT status report, dead stock report etc.).
  • Receive feedback and monitor the quality of services provided.
  • Other duties as assigned by management.

Position Summary

The Area Operations Manager role is designed to oversee specific areas in the warehouse. They are to focus on developing talent, enhancing time management and organizational skills, and fostering a safety-first culture. In addition, they are to assume and fill the role of Operations Manager in their absence.
