Job summary

Wolfspeed is seeking a Wafering Operations Maintenance Manager to lead the maintenance of production equipment in a high-volume semiconductor fab, overseeing technicians and implementing preventive maintenance to maximize uptime. The role involves coordinating with operations, sourcing and training staff, and driving efficiency across maintenance and repair activities.

Qualifications

• Experience in a high-volume manufacturing field with equipment support/repair.
• Leadership experience required; prior management preferred.
• Understanding of semiconductor processes and equipment.
• Willing to work a 12-hour manufacturing shift.

Responsibilities

• Manage the installation, preventative maintenance, and repair of semiconductor fabrication equipment.
• Interface with the Manufacturing Operations team on supporting daily production priorities based on bottlenecks.
• Screen and select candidates for the Equipment team to fulfill ramp and attrition requirements.
• Support and influence 5S methodology, ensuring the workplace is clean, uncluttered, safe and well organized to reduce waste and optimize productivity.
• Work closely with process engineering and production staff to improve overall quality metrics for the fab, SPC, Scrap, Rework, and cost reduction.
