Job summary

onsemi's Wafer Fab Operator role in the United States (Hopewell Junction, NY) supports the Manufacturing Operations Team. You will load wafers into production equipment, verify specs, monitor equipment operation and process pace, and collaborate with team members to optimize productivity.

The night shift is 12 hours, with a $1,500 sign-on bonus paid in four installments; base pay ranges from $18.75 to $25.87 per hour, with benefits.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required or equivalent.
• Prior semiconductor experience preferred but not required.
• Ability to work a 12-hour compressed night shift in a cleanroom environment.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate tools to process wafers through manufacturing stages.
• Use analytical skills to decide when to perform tool changes for productivity.
• Make minor process/equipment corrections and escalate when needed.
• Perform SPC-related diagnosis and interpretation of data.
• Interfacing with systems to complete job duties and meet schedules.
• Prioritize daily tasks with teammates to achieve team goals.
• Follow safety and conduct requirements and wear cleanroom gear.
