Job summary

onsemi is seeking a Wafer Fab Operator to join our Manufacturing Operations Team in a 12‑hour compressed night shift. You will load wafers, verify specs against equipment, monitor operation and productivity, and communicate with internal customers to maximize factory throughput.

The role requires basic education and potential semiconductor experience. A 1,500 USD sign-on bonus is offered, paid in four installments, with standard benefits and a safety-focused work environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Prior semiconductor experience is preferred but not required.
• Stable work history is a plus.
• Must be able to work a 12-hour compressed shift in a clean room.
• Wear cleanroom garments (bunny suit, gloves, glasses) during shifts.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate tools to process wafers through production stages.
• Use analytic and deductive skills to optimize wafer processing and tool changes.
• Make minor process/equipment corrections and seek escalation when needed.
• Perform SPC-based process diagnosis and interpretation on computers.
• Follow production schedules and interface with computer systems to complete duties.
• Coordinate with teammates and other departments to align daily tasks.
• Adhere to safety and conduct requirements.
• Meet physical requirements including lifting 15-pound wafer pods and stairs.
