Job summary

onsemi is seeking a Wafer Fab Operator to join the Manufacturing Operations Team. The role involves loading wafers into production equipment, verifying specs against settings, monitoring equipment, and ensuring productivity on a 12-hour compressed night shift.

Base pay ranges from $18.75 to $25.87 per hour, with a $1,500 sign-on bonus paid in installments. A comprehensive benefits package is offered. High school diploma or GED required; semiconductor experience preferred but not required.

Qualifications

• Requires a high school diploma or GED.
• prior semiconductor experience is preferred but not required.
• Must be able to work a 12-hour compressed night shift in a clean room environment.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate tools to process wafers through manufacturing stages.
• Use analytic and deductive skills to optimize wafer processing and decide tool changeovers.
• Make minor process and equipment corrections and know when to involve technicians or engineers.
• Perform SPC-based process diagnosis and interpretation.
• Complete production tasks with documented specifications and schedules, interfacing with computer systems.
• Collaborate with teammates and other departments to prioritize daily tasks.
• Follow safety and conduct requirements and maintain PPE compliance.
• Carry wafer pods weighing 15 pounds and climb 4–5 stairs repeatedly during shifts.
