Job summary

onsemi is seeking a Wafer Fab Operator (Night Shift 2) at Hopewell Junction, NY to load wafers, verify specs, monitor equipment, and maintain productivity. The role includes a $1,500 sign-on bonus disbursed over four quarters, with eligibility tied to employment status.

The candidate will work a 12-hour compressed night shift, handle 15-pound wafer pods, wear cleanroom garments, and collaborate across teams to meet schedules while upholding safety requirements.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Prior semiconductor experience preferred, but not required.
• Cleanroom environment experience preferred.
• Willing to work 12-hour compressed night shift.
• Must be able to lift 15 lb wafers and climb stairs.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate tools to process wafers.
• Use analytical skills to optimize wafer processing and tool changeovers.
• Make minor process and equipment corrections; escalate as needed.
• Perform SPC-based process diagnosis and data interpretation.
• Complete jobs per specifications and production schedules.
• Coordinate with teammates and other departments to prioritize tasks.
• Follow safety and conduct requirements.
• Handle 15 lb wafer pods and navigate 4-5 stair climbs during shifts.
