Job summary

onsemi is seeking a dedicated Wafer Fab Operator to join the Manufacturing Operations Team in Hopewell Junction, NY. The role focuses on loading wafers, verifying specs against equipment settings, and monitoring process pace to ensure factory productivity.

Sign-on bonus of $1,500 is offered. The position requires a 12-hour compressed day shift, strong attention to detail, and the ability to work in a cleanroom environment with appropriate PPE.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Prior semiconductor experience preferred but not required.
• 12‑hour compressed shift in a clean room environment.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate tools to process wafers through the applicable stage in the manufacturing process.
• Use analytic and deductive skills to determine strategies for processing wafers, including when to perform tool changeovers.
• Make minor corrections to the process and equipment and escalate to technician/engineer when needed, with improvement suggestions.
• Perform process diagnosis and interpretation using Statistical Process Control (SPC) methodology.
• Complete production tasks according to documented specs and production schedules with computer system interfacing.
• Collaborate with teammates and other departments to prioritize daily tasks and meet team goals.
