Job summary

onsemi, Hopewell Junction, NY, is seeking a Manufacturing Wafer Fab Operator to join the Manufacturing Operations Team. You will load wafers, verify specs, monitor equipment, and support productivity on a 12-hour compressed shift schedule.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Prior semiconductor experience preferred.
• Stable work history is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Setting up and operating tools to process wafers through the applicable stage in the manufacturing process.
• Using analytic and deductive skills to determine the best strategies for processing wafers through their tool, including when to perform tool changeovers; communicate with internal customers and team members to maximize factory productivity.
• Making minor corrections to the process and equipment and determining when to involve a technician or engineer; suggest productivity improvements.
• Process diagnosis and interpretation using SPC methodology.
• Perform production processes in accordance with documented specifications and production schedules; interfacing with computer systems to complete job duties.
• Work with teammates and other departments to prioritize daily tasks impacting team goals.
• Follow and stay up to date on safety and conduct requirements.
• Physical requirements include carrying wafer pods weighing 15 pounds and climbing 4–5 stairs while carrying pods.
