onsemi in Hopewell Junction, NY is seeking a Wafer Fab Operator (Night Shift 1) to load wafers, verify specs, monitor equipment, and maintain production pace. This 12-hour compressed shift runs Sun-Tues and alternating Saturdays, with a 6:30 PM start.

The role includes following safety rules, using SPC-based diagnostics, and making minor process adjustments. A high school diploma or GED is required; a sign-on bonus of $1,500 is offered, payable in quarterly installments.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Prior manufacturing experience preferred but not required.
• Must be able to work a 12-hour compressed shift in a clean room environment.
• Must be able to carry wafers weighing 15 pounds throughout the full shift.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate tools to process wafers through the manufacturing stage.
• Use analytic and deductive skills to optimize wafer processing and decide when to perform tool changeovers.
• Make minor corrections to processes and equipment and escalate to technicians or engineers as needed.
• Perform process diagnosis using SPC methodologies.
• Interface with computer systems to complete job duties and follow production schedules.
• Coordinate with teammates and other departments to prioritize daily tasks.
• Adhere to safety and conduct requirements.
