Job summary

State of Washington Dept. of Social and Health Services, WA Cares Fund, seeks a Program Manager to serve as the division's lead and SME for the GetCare assessment tool.

You will provide strategic direction and operational leadership to ensure the system supports the program's mission and statewide service delivery goals. The role requires coordinating with Home and Community Living Administration IT Team, managing interagency collaboration, and shaping business requirements for assessment,

Qualifications

• A bachelor's degree in public administration, health, social services, or related field with at least five years in long-term care eligibility and assessment determinations.
• Alternatively, nine years total experience with at least nine years in long-term care eligibility and assessment determinations.
• Concurrently, at least 3 years of demonstrated experience on complex IT projects or systems with partners/stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Lead the division as SME for GetCare assessment tool within WA Cares Fund.
• Provide strategic direction and operational leadership to align with program goals.
• Represent WA Cares Fund in strategic planning and interagency collaboration.
• Define business requirements and advocate for system enhancements.
• Ensure technology solutions align with program and statewide service delivery goals.
• Collaborate with IT teams to develop and maintain assessment, eligibility, and service planning components.
• Coordinate priorities with internal and external partners and teams.
• Develop business policies and procedures for staff and providers.
• Support planning, contracting, and implementation within approved timelines and budgets.
