Job summary

Seattle Human Services Department seeks a WA Cares Grants and Contracts Specialist to help launch and manage contracts for long-term care providers in King County. The role supports older adults, people with disabilities, and caregivers through WA Cares initiatives.

You will develop, monitor, and improve contracts, provide technical assistance, and collaborate with a diverse team to ensure compliance with complex laws and policies. A strong commitment to equity is essential.

Qualifications

  • Requires 1 year of professional experience in contract administration, budgeting, planning, human services administration, or related field.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education/experience.
  • Experience with Aging and Disability network services preferred.
  • Ability to track, prioritize, and respond to high-volume communications.
  • Able to learn new software, applications and data systems.
  • Proficient with MS Office and SharePoint.
  • Commitment to Race and Social Justice values.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and manage contracts with long-term service providers.
  • Ensure contract compliance, conduct risk assessments, and monitor performance.
  • Provide technical assistance and training to agencies on requirements and processes.
  • Respond to and resolve issues and complaints from agencies, constituents, beneficiaries, and stakeholders.
  • Other duties as assigned.
