Job summary

World WideTechnology (WWT) seeks an Infrastructure Patch & Vulnerability Engineer to strengthen security posture through disciplined patching and automation across Windows Server, Linux, and VMware environments. You will liaise with security, infrastructure, and owners to drive remediation and governance.

The role emphasizes automation, reporting, and proactive security improvements, with a focus on enterprise-scale infrastructure and continuous process enhancement.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or 5+ years enterprise OS administration in a relevant field.
• Strong knowledge of RHEL and Windows Server in enterprise environments.
• Experience provisioning OS in on‑prem and cloud ( Azure ).
• Hands‑on patch management and vulnerability remediation in enterprise settings.
• Automation scripting with at least two tools cited above.

Responsibilities

• Plan and improve patching and lifecycle management for Windows/Linux across on‑prem and cloud.
• Lead vulnerability remediation, track timelines, and drive timely closure of critical vulnerabilities.
• Provide tier‑2/3 support for Windows and RHEL, troubleshooting OS issues.
• Automate patch deployment and remediation workflows using PowerShell/Ansible/Terraform/Python.
• Coordinate maintenance windows with stakeholders and maintain governance reports.
• Develop runbooks and ensure auditable, low‑disruption maintenance.
