Job summary

Blueprint Technologies, LLC is seeking a Windows Patch & Automation Engineer to support patching, antivirus, and vulnerability compliance across a large distributed Windows server environment.

This role requires hands-on PowerShell scripting and automation, along with strong debugging and troubleshooting across multiple systems. You’ll collaborate with engineering, security, and compliance teams to deliver secure updates and remediation.

Qualifications

• Hands-on PowerShell scripting and automation across Windows environments.
• Experience debugging with logs, telemetry, and error codes to drive remediation.
• Familiarity with Windows update mechanisms, WSUS, and MSU installation.
• Ability to verify updates using Get-HotFix and related tooling.

Responsibilities

• Write, maintain, and troubleshoot PowerShell scripts for patching and reporting.
• Support monthly Windows patch rollouts, antivirus updates, .NET updates, and compliance components.
• Investigate update installation failures via event logs and CBS/logs.
• Analyze telemetry to identify failure patterns and remediation steps.
• Use KQL to investigate deployment results and identify systems needing follow-up.
• Verify installed updates, packages, and OS/runtime versions.
• Build, validate, and publish patching components following safe deployment practices.
• Troubleshoot blockers related to machine state, network, or environment conditions.
• Maintain dashboards, monitoring, and investigation notes.
• Coordinate with partner teams to resolve exceptions and escalations.
