Job summary

Blueprint is seeking a Windows Patching & Automation Engineer to support patching, antivirus, and vulnerability compliance across a large distributed Windows server environment. This role requires hands-on PowerShell scripting and automation experience, with strong debugging across multiple systems.

You’ll leverage logs, telemetry, and deployment data to diagnose failures, implement remediation, and deliver safe patch deployments while coordinating with engineering, security, and compliance

Qualifications

• Hands-on PowerShell scripting and automation experience.
• Strong debugging across multiple systems using logs and telemetry.
• Experience with Windows update mechanisms and MSU installation.

Responsibilities

• Write, maintain, and troubleshoot PowerShell scripts for patching and reporting.
• Support monthly Windows security patch rollouts and antivirus/NET updates.
• Investigate update failures using logs and error codes.
• Analyze logs across systems to identify failure patterns and remediation steps.
• Use KQL to investigate deployment results and compliance.
• Verify installed updates and runtimes on systems.
• Build and publish patching components following safe deployment practices.
• Troubleshoot blockers related to environment, network, or capacity.
• Maintain dashboards, monitoring, and investigation notes.
• Coordinate with partner teams to resolve exceptions.
