Worcester State University invites applications for the VPA Public Programming and Box Office Assistant (Work Study), a part-time student role in the Visual/Performing Arts department. The position supports PR/Marketing efforts for VPA and assists with front-of-house operations.
Work hours are 4-6 per week on campus; the role emphasizes customer service, box office supervision, and event support, with an hourly rate of $15.00 for eligible students. Preference given to Work Study students.

TITLE: VPA Assistant Coordinator of Public Programming
DEPARTMENT: Visual/Performing Arts
SUPERVISOR: Sam O'Connell
SSTA APPROVER: Sam O'Connell
SCHEDULE:4-6 Hours per week
General Statement of Duties/Responsibilities:
Assist Coordinator of Public Programming in PR and Marketing for VPA
Oversee box office staff training and scheduling, and supervise staff during box office hours.
Oversee box office operations including ticket sales, concession sales, cash reconciliation and sales reports
Maintenance of a clean, friendly box office suitable for customer service and POS marketing.
Organize front of house during performances.
Other duties as assigned.
Special Requirements or Experience:
Previous customer service experience preferred
The ability to be self-directed preferred
