Job summary

Worcester State University invites applications for the VPA Public Programming and Box Office Assistant (Work Study), a part-time student role in the Visual/Performing Arts department. The position supports PR/Marketing efforts for VPA and assists with front-of-house operations.

Qualifications

• Previous customer service experience preferred
• The ability to be self-directed preferred

Responsibilities

• Assist Coordinator of Public Programming in PR and Marketing for VPA
• Oversee box office staff training and scheduling, and supervise staff during box office hours
• Oversee box office operations including ticket sales, concession sales, cash reconciliation and sales reports
• Maintenance of a clean, friendly box office suitable for customer service and POS marketing
• Organize front of house during performances
• Other duties as assigned
