Worcester State University is hiring an Education Clerical Assistant (Work Study) to greet visitors, handle documents, and support department communications. This role is limited to WSU students and requires work-study eligibility, offering an on-campus position with a $15.00 hourly rate and 6 hours per week.
You will manage social media content, assist with publications, coordinate mail, and help with special projects and research on educational trends.

General Statement of Duties:
1. Customer Interaction: Greets guests of the department, or other personnel of the university,
by phone, and/or in person. Assesses student, faculty and visitor needs and guides them
through appropriate services, processes, and procedures.
2. Document Handling: Processes forms or applications to ensure accuracy and completeness.
Creates and maintains documents using Microsoft Office ,applications and manages
department files.
3. Social Media Management: Develops content, schedules posts, and engages with followers
on platforms like Instagram, Facebook, and Twitter to promote department events and
announcements.
4. Office Equipment Management: Operates and maintains office equipment such as printers
and copy machines. Acts as a liaison with service and vendor personnel.
5. Mail and Correspondence: Manages incoming mail and correspondence, ensuring timely
and appropriate responses or forwarding.
6. Publication Material Preparation: Assists in the creation and distribution of promotional
materials both online and offline.
7. Special Projects and Research: Supports special projects and performs research tasks as
needed, particularly focusing on educational trends and content creation for social media.
