Job summary

BMO Capital Markets is seeking a Vice President to join the Corporate Hedging Solutions team in New York. You will market, originate, and execute customized interest rate derivative solutions for corporate clients, collaborating with investment banking, trading, and risk teams.

The role emphasizes client engagement, deal structuring, and revenue generation across cross-functional partners, including back office and legal, to deliver comprehensive hedging strategies.

Qualifications

• 2+ years experience in Interest Rates or Foreign Exchange sales
• Some experience working directly with corporate clients
• Strong knowledge of Global Markets including fixed income, corporate debt markets and foreign exchange
• Undergraduate degree in Business, Finance, Mathematics, or a related field
• Experience with Calypso or equivalent systems
• Working knowledge of Bloomberg and MS Office (Word, Power Point, Excel)
• Strong sales skills and relevant experience
• Extremely strong written and oral communication skills
• Strong interpersonal skills used within a demanding team environment
• Ability to be creative, insightful and resourceful in performance of duties
• Strong ability to attentively review, assess, and provide detailed information daily on multiple projects in an organized manner
• Excellent analytical and quantitative skills
• Strong capability in pricing and modeling interest rate derivatives
• Self-motivated to keep up to date on product knowledge and market news
• Understanding of hedge accounting concepts and applicability to client solutions
• Familiarity with concepts of XVA, RWA and bank resource management

Responsibilities

• Pitch activities with corporate clients, including senior executives.
• Support the effective and compelling marketing of BMO's capabilities in interest rate products and solutions.
• Contribute to value-add trade ideas that apply economic, political, and market trends.
• Support the development and deployment of creative solutions for client risk management problems.
• Assist in the negotiation of key derivative legal documentation.
