Job summary

Iteris, Inc. seeks a Vice President to lead transportation planning and ITS initiatives, collaborating with public agencies and private clients to deliver innovative mobility solutions in California.

You will drive project delivery, business development, and staff mentorship across planning and ITS teams. The role demands deep experience in transportation planning, engineering, and leadership, with a track record of managing multi-disciplinary teams and engaging major public sector clients.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, Transportation Planning, Electrical Engineering or related field.
• 15+ years as a demonstrated expert in transportation planning, engineering or ITS industries.
• 10+ years in a leadership role, multi-disciplinary team leadership preferred.
• 10+ years in business development within Transportation Planning/ITS/Traffic Engineering/Operations.

Responsibilities

• Lead California strategy development and execution within the planning discipline.
• Define client needs and develop plans for business capture and regional growth.
• Cultivate strategic thinking to grow business and increase client retention.
• Lead technical project delivery and guide key technical decisions for complex transportation projects.
• Mentor staff and engage with internal teams to support growth and development.
• Travel locally and statewide as required.
