Job summary

First Tech Federal Credit Union seeks a Vice President of Total Rewards to lead enterprise compensation, benefits, payroll, and wellbeing programs. You will shape strategy to attract, retain, and engage a diverse workforce while upholding regulatory compliance and sustainability.

You will oversee governance, data integrity, and vendor relationships, driving cost efficiency and strategic value across the total rewards portfolio.

Qualifications

• 10+ years’ experience across enterprise Total Rewards disciplines including compensation, payroll, wellbeing, and HR tech.
• 8+ years’ experience as a people leader managing a diverse team.
• Experience leading benefits strategy, plan design, administration, and vendor management.
• Deep knowledge of health, welfare, retirement, and regulatory requirements.
• Advanced analytical, financial, and benchmarking capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Develop and lead the enterprise benefits strategy and long-term plans.
• Direct the design and enhancement of benefit programs to stay competitive and cost-effective.
• Provide executive oversight of plan administration, governance, and compliance.
• Lead benefits‑related financial planning, forecasting, and budget management.
• Evaluate market trends and benchmarking data to inform strategic recommendations.
• Partner with executives to define priorities and support workforce strategies.
• Negotiate with carriers, consultants, and third‑party administrators.
• Oversee communication strategies to improve engagement and utilization of benefits.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
• Build and lead a high‑performing benefits team.
