Job summary

WSP USA is seeking a Vice President, Structural Engineering for the New Jersey Team, overseeing highway bridges, rail and transit structures, and other infrastructure projects from our Lawrenceville and Morristown offices.

The role requires senior leadership, technical excellence, and the ability to coordinate with regional leaders to drive performance and growth across multiple programs.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 12 years of experience with a college degree or equivalent experience in engineering, transportation, infrastructure, and/or project delivery.
• Bachelor’s Degree in engineering; Master’s degree preferred.
• Professional Engineer (P.E.) license required (multi-state preferred).
• Strong leadership and interpersonal communication skills with the ability to interact with all levels of the organization.

Responsibilities

• Provide proactive and strategic leadership for structural engineering discipline and function; ensure project deliverables meet quality standards.
• Review permit applications, design plans, specifications, estimates; provide construction support and inspections as needed.
• Lead large, complex structural projects; manage budgets, hours, and subcontractors to ensure on-time delivery.
• Develop and sustain local growth, forecast, and business development plans for NJDOT, NJTA, NJ Transit, and other agencies.
