Job summary

WSP USA is seeking a Vice President of Structural Engineering to lead our Eastern Pennsylvania Team, delivering highway bridges, rail and transit structures from Philadelphia to Exton and coordinating with regional practices. This senior role requires strategic vision, client relationship management, and a commitment to technical excellence.

You will oversee safety, quality, and performance, mentor engineers, manage budgets, and drive new business with public sector clients such as PennDOT,

Qualifications

• 12+ years of experience in engineering, transportation, infrastructure, or project delivery.
• PE license required (multi-state preferred).
• Strong leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills; experience managing a team of engineers.
• Ability to lead a multi-disciplinary project delivery with safety compliance.
• Occasional travel may be required.
• Proven business development and client relationship capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership to structural engineering professionals across offices in Eastern PA.
• Lead strategic direction for structural engineering discipline and ensure project success.
• Oversee permit reviews, design plans, specs, estimates, and construction support.
• Manage larger, complex projects including budgets, hours, and subcontractors.
• Develop and pursue business opportunities within the assigned geography.
• Collaborate with regional leaders to drive growth and profitability.
