Job summary

WSP is seeking a Vice President, Structural Engineering to lead delivery of highway bridges, rail and transit structures in New Jersey. The role supports Lawrenceville/Morristown offices and collaborates with national leaders to pursue and deliver projects.

You will guide technical excellence, mentor staff, and align projects with regulatory requirements and client needs, with a hybrid in-office requirement of at least 3 days per week.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in engineering; Professional Engineer (PE) license required.
Minimum 12 years of experience in engineering, transportation, infrastructure, and/or project delivery.
Strong leadership, interpersonal communication, and collaboration skills.
Occasional travel may be required depending on project-specific requirements.

Responsibilities

Provide proactive leadership for the structural engineering discipline and ensure project deliverables.
Oversee large-scale structural projects, manage budgets, hours, and subcontractors.
Develop project scopes, timelines, pricing, and budgets compliant with codes and standards.
Engage with NJDOT, NJTA, NJ Transit and other agencies to grow and deliver infrastructure work.
