Job summary

WSP's Lawrenceville, NJ office is seeking a Vice President, Structural Engineering to lead delivery for highway bridges, rail and transit structures, and other structural services in the New Jersey area.

This senior role requires coordination with national teams, maintaining quality, and driving growth, with a hybrid in-office requirement of three days per week. Candidates should have a PE license and 12+ years of experience.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 12 years of experience in engineering, transportation, infrastructure, and/or project delivery.
• Bachelor’s Degree in engineering; Master’s Degree preferred.
• Professional Engineer (P.E.) license required (multi-state preferred).
• Strong leadership, interpersonal skills, and ability to interact with all levels.
• Occasional travel may be required.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic leadership for the structural engineering discipline and ensure project/work site deliverables meet standards.
• Lead delivery for highway bridges, rail and transit structures, and other structural engineering services.
• Oversee project budgets, hours, and expenses; supervise subcontractors and staff.
• Develop and manage proposals, scopes, timelines, pricing, and budgets with compliance to codes.
• Mentor staff and foster a collaborative, inclusive work environment.
