Job summary

Citi in Jersey City, NJ is seeking a hands-on Software Engineer to drive engineering transformation across settlements. You will design, develop, and maintain scalable software while promoting trunk-based development, automated testing, and security.

You’ll work with teams to implement modern engineering practices, mentor peers, and lead architecture discussions. Key responsibilities include software design, code reviews, and collaboration with DevOps for deployments and observability.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in financial services software development.
• Strong hands-on coding in Java, Python, or Kotlin.
• Deep expertise in system design and microservices architecture.
• Experience with trunk-based development, feature flags, and progressive delivery.
• Proficiency in TDD, BDD, and automation-first mindset.
• Strong CI/CD, DevOps practices, and secure coding.
