Citi is seeking a Securities Settlements Engineering Developer, Vice President, to drive the engineering transformation across settlements. You will design, implement, and maintain scalable systems with emphasis on trunk-based development, automation, and security.

The role requires deep expertise in system design and hands-on coding across Java, Python, and Kotlin, with strong experience in microservices, CI/CD, and cloud-native technologies. Hybrid work arrangement in Jersey City area.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in financial services software development.
• Strong hands-on coding in Java/Python/Kotlin.
• Deep expertise in system design and microservices architecture.
• Experience with trunk-based development and progressive delivery.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain robust, scalable applications for settlements.
• Implement trunk-based development for CI/CD and rapid delivery.
• Follow SOLID principles and ensure high test coverage (TDD/BDD).
• Contribute to code reviews, refactoring, and security.
• Collaborate with DevOps to optimize deployments and observability.
