Job summary

Citi in Reston, Virginia is seeking a Vice President for Public Sector Banking focused on Defense and Development Organizations to originate new business, grow client relationships, and deliver the best of Citi’s global platform across Banking, Markets and Services.

The role requires deep knowledge of federal and development finance clients, collaboration with PAMs and product teams, and a commitment to high-quality client outcomes and risk management.

Qualifications

• 6 to 10 years of banking and/or Federal Government or Development Organizations sales and contracting experience preferred.
• Series 79 and 63 required within 150 days of accepting the job.
• Strong understanding of financial markets, corporate finance, cash management and payments.

Responsibilities

• Originate new business and identify cross-sell opportunities with PAMs in the Defense and Development segments by anticipating client needs.
• Bring new and innovative ideas to Public Sector clients working in concert with the PAM and Product Teams that reflect government priorities and policies.
• Contribute to sales presentations, proposals, content/thought leadership, and client meeting follow up.
• Develop mastery across entire product suite to identify opportunities.
• Lead and manage key aspects and contacts within Federal Government client relationships or prospects.
• Manage existing Federal Government contract requirements, in close coordination with product owners.
• Anticipate, prioritize and execute client needs across Banking, Services and Markets to deliver high degree of trust and client satisfaction.
• Exceed or meet revenue growth and revenue recognition goals identified by the Federal Government PAM.
• Develop rapport with ICM to ensure coordinated First Line of Defense with Risk partners and Legal considerations.
• Develop deep knowledge of each client to advocate for bespoke needs within the Citi network.
• Become expert in navigating Citi processes with a Defense and Development Organizations – Public Sector lens.
