Job summary

Citi in New York seeks a Director to lead the strategic direction for public sector clients, owning relationships and driving revenue growth across Banking, Markets, and Services. The role focuses on originating new business and delivering Citi’s best ideas and services to government clients.

You will guide the banking team, collaborate with product partners, and develop senior-level contacts while managing risk. Travel to client meetings will be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; Master’s preferred.
• Experience in government/public sector sales and contracting.
• Series 79 and 63 within 90 days of starting.

Responsibilities

• Set strategic direction for clients and banking teams.
• Own client relationships and establish Citi as a first call.
• Originate new business and cross-sell with product partners.
• Develop innovative ideas reflecting public sector priorities.
• Drive proposals and thought leadership to win business.
• Mentor junior staff and travel to client meetings as needed.
