Job summary

JPMorgan Chase seeks a Vice President, Product Controller – Property & Casualty Insurance to help launch and support a new insurance agency business. You will build accounting and reporting practices, analyze financial and technical data, and partner with finance, risk, and compliance to deliver clear insights for senior leadership.

You will establish repeatable processes, ensure GAAP-compliant reporting, and scale controls as the business grows.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• Minimum 6 years of relevant experience in accounting, product control, financial reporting, controllership, or insurance finance.
• Strong GAAP knowledge and ability to apply to new products or launches.
• Ability to translate insurance requirements into a clear accounting framework.
• Understanding of property and casualty insurance.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate finance infrastructure activities to support a new insurance agency business, including accounting readiness, reporting, and controls.
• Partner with accounting policy and regulatory policy teams to interpret applicable accounting and regulatory guidance and document recommendations.
• Ensure reporting aligns with GAAP and applicable regulatory guidance.
• Build strong working relationships across finance, risk, compliance, legal, and reporting teams to drive alignment.
• Review reported insurance information and supporting materials for completeness and consistency.
• Prepare schedules and documentation for monthly and quarterly reporting deliverables.
• Perform variance and trend analyses and explain key drivers in executive-ready narratives.
• Validate source data end-to-end and confirm reconciliations between upstream sources and final outputs.
• Source and compile financial data for month-end close, filings, and senior management presentations.
• Maintain financial reporting processes and tools, identify opportunities to strengthen controls and efficiency.
• Recommend improvements to business procedures and operating routines.
