Job summary

State Street is seeking an experienced AVP in Fund Accounting & Administration to lead a team delivering accounting services for alternative investment clients, including hedge funds and private markets. You will oversee income allocations, waterfall fee calculations, and NAV reporting, while onboarding funds and driving process improvements.

Ideal candidates have 5–6 years of Private Market experience, a Bachelor’s in Accounting/Finance, and familiarity with Investran or Geneva.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
• 5–6 years of Private Market experience.
• Experience with alternative investment asset classes, complex fund structures and fee calculations.
• CPA qualification is favourable but not required.
• Experience with Investran or Geneva favourable.

Responsibilities

• Manage a growing team delivering accounting and administrative services for alternative investment client relationships.
• Allocate income to investors and determine management and incentive fees per waterfall provisions.
• Oversee portfolio and fund level accounting and NAV reporting reviews.
• Lead onboarding of existing client funds and launch of new funds.
• Ensure adherence to internal policies and external regulations.
• Design and champion technology solutions for reporting and data needs.
• Identify cross-sell opportunities and participate in strategic work groups.
• Recruit, hire, train, and develop staff to maximize potential.
