Job summary

Happen Bank in San Francisco is seeking a VP of Platform Engineering to own AI infrastructure strategy, DevOps, and software delivery across the company. You will lead enterprise testing, database administration, and incident management while building a high-performing, executive-level Platform Engineering org.

Qualifications

• 13+ years of progressive software engineering, DevOps, platform engineering, or related tech
• Bachelor's degree or higher, or equivalent experience
• 10+ years in senior engineering leadership overseeing multiple domains
• Experience defining AI Infrastructure strategy and client-facing AI tooling
• Deep technical fluency across DevOps, testing, API design, databases, and observability
• Proven ability to build leadership bench strength across complex orgs

Responsibilities

• Own AI Infrastructure vision, strategy, and governance standards
• Define CI/CD strategy, tooling, and environment management
• Lead enterprise testing strategy and AI-enabled testing practices
• Oversee Database Administration with performance and reliability focus
• Run incident management, observability, and release controls
• Build and lead a high-performing Platform Engineering organization
