Job description

Radiology Partners is the largest and fastest growing physician led, physician owned radiology practice in the United States. We are transforming radiology by advancing clinical value, pioneering technology, redefining service, and reshaping the economics of imaging to elevate the role of radiologists and improve care for every patient we touch. RP Clinical Services (RPCS) is the clinical engine of the practice—the enterprise platform that brings our service lines, physician operating units, and partner relationships together into a single, high-performing organization built to deliver exceptional outcomes for patients, breakthrough value for clients, and meaningful, sustainable careers for physicians.

The Office of the COO sits at the center of that operating model, where strategy becomes execution. The Chief of Staff is a trusted extension of the COO, helping translate the RPCS operating agenda into action across operations, physician, and support teams so that decisions are made, commitments are kept, and the most important work moves forward.

Radiology Partners is seeking a Chief of Staff to serve as a strategic force multiplier and trusted partner to the Chief Operating Officer (COO), RP Clinical Services. The COO holds a builder’s seat— accountable for the day-to-day performance, growth, and continuous improvement of RPCS practices, markets, and physician operating units. The Chief of Staff extends the reach of the COO by translating operating strategy into execution across operations, physician, and support teams—ensuring decisions are made, commitments are kept, and priorities move forward with speed and clarity, including making informed decisions on the COO’s behalf when the COO is unavailable.

VP, OPERATIONS (CHIEF OF STAFF) - POSITION SUMMARY:
  • Partner closely with the COO to define, sequence, and execute the RPCS operating agenda—translating the President’s strategy and the COO’s priorities into measurable outcomes for patients, clients, physicians, and the enterprise.
  • Represent the COO and Act in the Executive’s Absence: Attend meetings alongside and on behalf of the COO, take action on agreed priorities, and make timely, well-reasoned decisions within delegated authority when the COO is unavailable—escalating only what genuinely requires the executive’s input.
  • Drive Execution of Growth and Operating Priorities: Actively move the COO’s top initiatives forward—market expansion, client commitments, new service lines, and operating-model improvements—anticipating needs, removing blockers, and tracking milestones to completion.
  • Operating Cadence and Business Reviews: Establish and run a transparent operating cadence— scorecards, business reviews, decision logs, and forums that surface performance, elevate risk early, and accelerate decision-making across markets and practices.
  • Physician Engagement: Build credible, trusted relationships with radiologists and physician leaders; represent the physician perspective in operating decisions and help make RPCS the premier home for physicians.
  • Support Team Leadership and Collaboration: Work seamlessly with operations, enterprise shared services, and support teams to coordinate execution, remove friction, and keep cross-functional work aligned to RPCS priorities .
DESIRED PROFESSIONAL SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, Operations, or a related field.
  • 7–10+ years of progressive experience in operations, strategy, program/project management, or a Chief of Staff / senior advisory role, including at least 5 years of leadership or management experience.
  • Demonstrated experience partnering with senior executives and influencing cross-functional teams in a multi-site or matrixed environment. Understanding of healthcare and/or radiology operations, physician practice dynamics, multi-site operating models, and the regulatory environment in which Radiology Partners operates.
  • Operating cadences, business-review and scorecard disciplines, and project/program management principles.
  • Comfort operating in ambiguity and bringing structure, clarity, and momentum to loosely defined problems.
  • Strong independent judgment and the ability to make decisions, accelerate appropriately, and drive outcomes with limited direction.
  • Ability to work with confidential information and represent senior leadership with credibility, maturity, executive presence, and a general athlete mindset.
  • Partner directly with the COO of the clinical engine of the largest, fastest growing physician led radiology practice in the United States.
  • Sit at a builder’s seat, helping define and scale the RPCS operating model at a true inflection point of scale, technology, and growth.
  • Gain broad exposure across markets, practices, operations, innovation, and the patient and client experience.
  • Work alongside bold, forward-thinking physician and executive leaders who expect excellence, value collaboration, and back their people to win. Competitive compensation and a comprehensive benefits package
COMPENSATION:

The salary range for this position is $200,000 - $230,000. Final determinations may vary based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, certifications, geographic location etc. This role is also eligible for an annual discretionary bonus.
