Job summary

Sugar Mountain Capital in Seattle seeks a Vice President of Technology to shape and execute the company’s technology strategy across manufacturing, retail, hospitality and livestock operations.

Reporting to the CEO, you will drive ERP transformation, AI-enabled tools, and data integration, building a high-performing tech organization in a founder-led environment while ensuring secure, scalable systems on-site in South Lake Union.

Qualifications

• 10–15 years of technology leadership experience in food manufacturing, consumer brands, or multi-unit hospitality.
• Proven experience leading at least one full ERP implementation or migration as the internal business owner.
• Demonstrated success deploying AI/ML solutions operating in production environments.
• Deep technical expertise with enterprise applications, integrations, data architecture, and system design.
• Ability to independently evaluate architecture decisions, challenge vendors, and provide technical leadership at strategic and tactical levels.
• Strong operational mindset focused on business outcomes and execution.
• Experience operating in a founder-led, fast-paced environment; Seattle-based or willing to relocate; on-site 5 days/week.

Responsibilities

• Define and execute the technology strategy and transformation roadmap to support growth across manufacturing, retail, hospitality and livestock ops.
• Partner with the CEO and leadership to prioritize technology investments and business transformation initiatives.
• Own data architecture and ensure clean data flows across production, financial, operational, and customer systems.
• Champion AI and automation to improve workflows and decision-making.
• Oversee infrastructure, cybersecurity, data governance, and risk, ensuring secure, reliable systems.
• Build and lead a high-performing technology organization and establish a culture of accountability.
