Job summary

Compass Group USA is seeking a VP of Operations to lead and optimize regional operations, ensuring efficient resource management, service delivery to customers, and rigorous analysis of systems. The role drives client satisfaction, financial performance, regulatory compliance, and operational excellence across our hospitality platforms.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent professional experience.
• 12–15 years upscale food service experience, including 10 years at the management level.
• Experience in personnel management including hiring, supervision, evaluation and succession planning.
• Ability to multi-task as well as stay on task and concentrate with interruptions.
• Must be able to make business decisions based on financial reports and similar facts.
• Knowledge of HACCP controls and proper storage and use of food.
• Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office: Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
• ServSafe or Department of Health certification a plus.
• Must be able to read and interpret business records and statistical reports.
• Must be able to analyze and interpret policies established by administrators.

Responsibilities

• Builds relationships at all levels of the organization.
• Identifies client needs and communicates progress and new programs.
• Conducts and monitors customer, client and associate satisfaction surveys.
• Visits clients and facilities regularly.
• Delivers corporate communications and priorities to region teams and clients.
• Builds an effective and results-driven team within the region.
• Ensures audits are conducted (financial, sanitation, food safety, HR).
