Job summary

Genie Matthews and Associates is seeking a strategic Vice President of Operations to lead a growing multi-site 3PL and warehousing network in Bowling Green, KY, with regional travel. You will drive profitability, leadership development, and continuous improvement across warehousing, distribution, fulfillment, and value-added services on-site with travel.

This executive reports to the CEO and must demonstrate hands-on leadership, a track record of scaling operations, strong P&L management, and

Qualifications

10+ years of progressive operations leadership experience in 3PL, warehousing, distribution, or related industry
5+ years overseeing multi-site operations through directors/regional managers or senior leadership teams
Proven experience managing full P&L across multiple facilities
Experience launching new facilities or managing growth in logistics operations
Strong understanding of WMS, labor management, KPIs, and continuous improvement

Responsibilities

Oversee multi-site warehousing, distribution, fulfillment, and logistics operations.
Manage and develop Directors of Operations, Operations Excellence, and Safety.
Maintain full P&L responsibility and drive profitability, cost control, and labor productivity.
Establish standardized procedures, metrics, and continuous improvement across locations.
Drive safety, inventory accuracy, customer service, and employee retention improvements.
Lead startup of new facilities, customer implementations, and expansions.
Collaborate with Sales and leadership on growth, pricing, and planning.
Utilize WMS/EDI and reporting to improve visibility and decision-making.
Implement labor management strategies and productivity standards.
Develop leadership pipeline through coaching and development.
Ensure compliance with safety regulations and customer requirements.
Engage in executive planning, budgeting, and capital investments.
