Job summary

Redwood Logistics seeks a Vice President of Engineering to lead the engineering organization, shipping core technology platforms, and scale teams across product areas. Reporting to the CTO, you will hire, develop, and set delivery standards while maintaining high quality and reliability in a fast-growing environment.

Qualifications

• 12+ years in software engineering with leadership exposure.
• Proven track record shipping complex, high-availability enterprise software.
• Strong technical depth in system design, code review, and incident response.
• Experience managing engineering managers and building leadership benches.
• Expertise in cloud-native architecture: Azure/AWS, Kubernetes, microservices, CI/CD.
• Ability to improve delivery velocity and engineering quality concurrently.
• Strong communication skills with executives and business translation.

Responsibilities

• Lead and grow a team of engineering managers, senior engineers, and ICs across product areas.
• Own end-to-end software delivery including planning, sprints, releases, and post-launch.
• Set architectural direction and govern design review processes.
• Drive platform reliability, incident response, and operational excellence.
• Partner with Product, Data/AI, and Ops to translate roadmaps into production systems.
