Job summary

Redwood Logistics is seeking a Vice President of Engineering to lead the engineering organization responsible for building and operating our core technology platforms. Reporting to the CTO, this role owns hiring, delivery standards, architectural quality, and shipping software powering our brokerage, TMS, and customer-facing products.

You will set architectural direction, unblock teams, and maintain a high bar for quality and reliability while growing a team of engineering managers and senior

Qualifications

12+ years software engineering experience
5+ years leading teams of 30+ engineers
Shipping complex, high-availability enterprise software
Strong system design, code review, incident response
Experience building leadership bench

Responsibilities

Lead, grow, and retain a team of engineering managers, senior engineers, and ICs across product engineering, platform, DevOps, and QA
Own end-to-end software delivery process with planning, sprints, releases
Define architectural standards across systems, microservices, data pipelines
Own platform reliability, SLAs, incident management, on-call rotations, post-mortems
Partner with Product, Data/AI, and Operations to align roadmaps and budgets
