Job summary

CVS Health is seeking a VP of Digital Engineering for Health100 to lead cross-functional capabilities spanning identity, payments, AI, and solutions engineering. This strategic role guides architecture, best practices, and delivery across a large engineering portfolio, partnering closely with Product to shape the roadmap and drive rapid, compliant execution.

Qualifications

• 15+ years of experience in digital software development and engineering.
• 10+ years in a technology leadership position with financials/goals/operational metrics.
• Hands-on software engineer/architect background with continued fluency in design.
• Experience leading multiple engineering teams totaling 100+ resources.
• Experience coding, architecting and leading large teams across time zones.
• Proven ability to partner with Product to shape roadmap and capability strategy.
• Track record of fast, high-quality execution in a regulated environment.
• Deep expertise in software architecture, APIs, microservices, cloud-native platforms, and DevSecOps.
• Experience with enterprise transaction-based systems focusing on security, reliability and performance.
• Experience owning production reliability and defining SLOs/SLAs.

Responsibilities

• Define and shape Health100 roadmap and capability set with Product leadership.
• Lead cross-cutting engineering capabilities including identity, payments, AI solutions.
• Own engineering for digital account/profile capabilities and privacy controls.
• Oversee digital payments engineering with PCI-DSS compliance and integration work.
• Lead Solutions Engineering translating requirements into designs and reusable patterns.
• Drive AI Solutions engineering for Generative AI and agentic capabilities.
• Ensure production reliability, define SLOs/SLAs, and oversee incident response.
• Partner with CVS Health leaders to align Health100 capabilities with adjacent platforms.
• Foster ownership culture, scalability, and fast delivery across a large team.
