Job summary

CVS Health is seeking a VP, Digital Engineering to lead cross-functional engineering for the Health100 platform, spanning digital identity, payments, solutions engineering, and AI solutions. This is a strategic leadership role where you will co-own the roadmap with Product and guide architectural direction and best practices to future-proof the platform.

The ideal candidate will combine hands-on software experience with enterprise-scale delivery, align security and PCI-DSS compliance, and foster

Qualifications

15+ years of experience in digital software development and engineering.
10+ years in technology leadership, managing financials and operational metrics.
Hands-on software engineer/architect background with coding and system design.
Experience leading multiple engineering teams totaling 100+ resources.
Proven ability to partner with Product to shape roadmap and capability strategy.
Track record of fast, high-quality execution in fast-paced environments.
Deep expertise in software architecture, APIs, microservices, cloud-native platforms, and DevSecOps.
Experience with security, reliability, scalability, and CI/CD in enterprise systems.
Experience with digital identity, payments, and PCI‑DSS compliance.
Experience delivering AI/ML or Generative AI solutions in enterprise contexts.
Experience with LLM evaluation, RAG architectures, and agent orchestration.
Experience supporting high daily visit volumes (1M+).
Able to translate enterprise strategy into system-level deliverables.

Responsibilities

Define and shape Health100 roadmap and capability set with Product leadership.
Lead cross-cutting engineering capabilities including digital identity, payments, AI, and solutions engineering.
Oversee secure identity and profile management, consent/privacy controls, and authentication flows.
Manage digital payments engineering including premium/copay flows and PCI-DSS alignment.
Guide Solutions Engineering to turn requirements into scalable designs and reusable accelerators.
Lead AI Solutions engineering to scale Generative AI capabilities with unobtrusive user impact.
Ensure production reliability with SLOs/SLAs, incident response, and observability.
Drive rapid iteration and pragmatic build/buy decisions in a regulated healthcare context.
Coordinate closely with CVS Health ecosystem leaders to integrate capabilities across platforms.
Cultivate ownership, urgency, and product-focused delivery across a large engineering team.
