Cengage Group seeks a visionary VP of Design and User Experience to reshape education technology experiences for learners, educators, and institutions. You will craft the strategy, align product roadmaps, and lead UX across platforms to improve learning outcomes.

You will drive innovation with AI-enhanced prototyping, accessibility, and personalization while collaborating with Product, Engineering, and Learning Science teams to unlock potential through outstanding learning experiences.

Qualifications

10+ years in UX Design, leading UX, Product Design, and Experience Design in complex digital ecosystems or EdTech.
8+ years managing senior leaders and multidisciplinary teams.
Experience leading large-scale digital transformation initiatives.
Strong ability to influence executive stakeholders and connect experience investments to business outcomes.

Responsibilities

Develop and articulate a compelling design vision and creative direction rooted in design thinking principles.
Empower teams to imagine new approaches to innovation in education technology.
Build and mentor a high-performing UX team, encouraging collaboration and continuous improvement.
Establish design quality standards and conduct executive-level design reviews.
Work within product operating models to incorporate UX principles at each phase of product development.
Establish scalable build systems and governance models including AI-assisted prototyping and accessibility checks.
